Crum keeps your starter on your phone. There's no account, no ads, no tracking and no analytics.
What stays on your phone
Your starter, your feeds, your plans and your settings. Reminders are scheduled on your phone too. None of it leaves the phone unless you use Ask.
Ask
Ask is the only part of Crum that uses the internet.
- Before your first question, Crum tells you this and asks you to agree. Nothing is sent until you do, and Delete all data clears your agreement.
- Your first question creates a random ID on Crum's server (run by Supabase). It isn't linked to your name, email or phone. Supabase's logs record the IP address it came from.
- Each question is sent, with the conversation so far and your starter's details (its name, your feeding routine, recent feeds, flour, kitchen temperature and any plans), through Crum's server to Anthropic, which writes the answer.
- Crum's server keeps the ID and a count of questions. It never keeps what you asked or what came back. For how Anthropic handles messages, see Anthropic's privacy policy.
- The conversation stays on your phone for 6 hours after your last message, then it's cleared.
Deleting your data
Delete all data, on the starter's page, clears everything on your phone. The random ID stays on the server, but nothing connects it to you.
The waitlist
If you give us your email on crum.life, we use it only to tell you about Crum: when it's ready, and possibly an early version to try. We never share it. To be removed, email hello@crum.life.
